My outlook on therapy...
I have assisted clients who have experienced grief, anger, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adjustment problems, LGBT issues, serious mental illness and addiction. Navigating these challenges alone can be a daunting task. I look forward to helping you pursue self-acceptance, healing and discovering ways to cope with life’s challenges. My office is a safe place where one can come and feel no judgment to work on goals and improve daily functioning.Request an Appointment
I utilize both cognitive behavioral therapy and systems theory in my practice. I come from the standpoint that true change comes from both therapist and client collaborating and working together. I am passionate about helping people realize their full potential and experience happier and healthier relationships with themselves and others.
I am a Certified Nurturing Parenting Program Facilitator. The Nurturing Parenting Programs are a family-centered initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglecting parenting and child-rearing practices. The long term goals are to prevent recidivism in families receiving social services, lower the rate of multi-parent teenage pregnancies, reduce the rate of juvenile delinquency and alcohol abuse, and stop the inter-generational cycle of child abuse by teaching positive parenting behaviors.
I provide therapy to couples and families as well as individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults. My specialties include marriage and family counseling, serious mental illness support and women’s issues.
